Orange Regional Medical Center Offers Free Perinatal Bereavement Support Group
Story Number is : 120817106
Orange Regional Medical Center

Orange Regional Medical Center is offering a free Perinatal Bereavement Support Group to the community the first and third Wednesday of each month from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Orange Regional Medical Center Community Health Education Center, located at 110 Crystal Run Road, in Middletown, NY.

When a pregnancy ends in a loss many couples feel afraid, isolated, angry, confused, disappointed and sad. Orange Regional’s Perinatal Bereavement support group provides families an opportunity to listen and/or share their experiences in a comfortable and safe environment.

No matter where you are in the process of loss, grief or healing, Orange Regional’s multidisciplinary team of child life specialists, social workers, nurses, physicians and chaplains provide expert physical, emotional, and spiritual support for parents mourning loss such as stillborn and newborn death, miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy, subsequent pregnancy after a loss, recurrent loss and/or loss complicated by infertility.

For more information, please call Orange Regional’s Child Life Program Coordinator, Michelle Ferguson, at 845-333-5150. Registration is not required.
