As part of its mission to improve the health of our community, Orange Regional Medical Center is hosting a Silent Art Auction to benefit beautification projects at the hospital. Bids will be taken at the auction on Tuesday, December 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, December 13 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Silent Auction will take place at ORMC, 707 East Main Street, Middletown, in the Ground Floor Conference Rooms 1, 2 and 3. Winners can pick up their artwork on Wednesday, December 13 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Participating in the ORMC Silent Auction is easy. At the auction, art lovers bid for each piece of art by writing their bid on a sheet of paper that corresponds with the piece they like. At the end of the auction, the highest listed bidder wins the item. The ORMC Silent Auction will also feature a “buy now” option to instantly purchase a piece of artwork without the risk of losing out to a higher bidder.

Orange Regional’s Director of Healing Environments/ Art Curator, Nina Favata, said “This is a great opportunity to take home a beautiful, framed piece of art, at a fraction of the original value, while supporting projects that ultimately help our patients. All proceeds will go to a special Healing Environments fund which will support non-clinical beautification projects at the medical center.”
Orange Regional Medical Center has fully embraced the concept of the healing environment and in 2017 was named the Most Beautiful Hospital in the U.S. by Soliant Health, a specialty healthcare staffing provider. ORMC has developed the Healing Arts Program to support the care environment for patients, families, employees and visitors. The effect of art, color, lighting and calmness, in a healing setting, has proven beneficial for wellness and recovery.

For questions about the Silent Art Auction, please contact ORMC Director of Healing Environments/Art Curator, Nina Favata, at 845-333-2385 or nfavata@ormc.org.
