He provides care for a full range of conditions that include neurogenic bladder, hypospadias, posterior urethral valves, renal masses, ureteropelvic junction obstruction, urachal cysts and circumcision revisions.

He has advanced training in pediatric robotic surgery and can offer patients and their families many minimally invasive treatment options, including pyeloplasties, urachal cyst incisions and the reconstruction of duplicated kidneys.

Dr. Howe also has specialized training in pediatric gynecology, and, in addition to treating young female patients for conditions that include labial adhesions and disorders of sexual differentiation, he provides medical management to both boys and girls for a full range of urological conditions, including voiding dysfunction, bedwetting and urinary tract infections. He will also be embarking on a clinical trial to study how TENS units (transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation) can be used as at-home therapy for patients with nighttime bedwetting.

Dr. Howe earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College. He completed a residency in surgery at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky, as well as a residency in general urology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus. He conducted his fellowship training in pediatric urology at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park, N.Y.

A native of Niskayuna, Dr. Howe is now seeing patients at Albany Medical Center’s South Clinical Campus, 23 Hackett Blvd., Albany, and at Albany Med Clifton Park, 1783 Route 9, Suite 203, in Clifton Park. To learn more or to schedule an appointment, please call (518) 262-3341.
