Story Number is : 120817112
New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce

Dogtopia of New Rochelle and Paws Crossed Animal Rescue are hosting a Pet Adoption Day on Sunday, December 10 from 10:00 AM -2:00 PM at the Dogtopia location 505 Fifth Avenue, across from City Field. At 1 PM there will also be a Ribbon Cutting with the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce and local dignitaries.
“This is a natural collaboration between two organizations committed to providing the Westchester community with pet ownership education and services, as well as finding loving pets a forever home”, said Donna Troinai, Paws Crossed Rescue Manager. “We are thrilled to be hosting Pet Adoption Day for Paws Crossed, and encourage everyone to consider adopting a pet for the holiday season,“ said Paul Goerke, owner of Dogtopia New Rochelle.

Paws Crossed Animal Rescue, a no-kill animal rescue with a mission to “Rescue One By One Until There Are None” through rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of animals at risk from neglect or abandonment. Paws Crossed has over 70 dogs and cats in its facility, and has taken in several animals from the recent hurricane disasters in the south.

Dogtopia New Rochelle, is a dog daycare, boarding and spa, with a focus on dog socialization and enrichment through supervised open play by certified Canine Coaches. “Dogs are separated into three playrooms based on breed behaviors and play style, and we encourage pet parents to view their dogs on our live webcams during the day” says Goerke. “We don’t breed discriminate, but each dog is carefully evaluated on site before coming to dogtopia, as safety is always the highest priority”. “With entertainment, three square meals a day, and the surveillance, Dogtopia is wonderful alternative to leaving your beloved dog home by itself all day.” says Jennifer Lanser, Executive Director of the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce. Dogtopia will be open for guided tours of its 6,200 sq.foot facility during the Pet Adoption event.
