John Allegra, MD, FACEP, attending emergency physician at Morristown (N.J.) Medical Center, recently participated in his 19th medical mission.
May 20-26, 2012, Dr. Allegra travelled to Catacambas, Honduras, where he spent a week assisting surgeons on the medical team at the Hospital Santo Hermano Pedro and conducted clinics in remote villages and made house calls.
Stated Dr. Allegra, “The patients were very appreciative of the team’s efforts on their behalf.”
Dr. Allegra has participated in 19 previous medical missions, including those in the Dominican Republic, Nigeria, Guatemala, Haiti, India, St. Lucia and Malawi, Africa. He plans to participate in future missions.
