Broadway House for Continuing Care has achieved a Five-Star Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), an agency operating under the Department of Health and Human Services. CMS uses a Quality Rating system on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. Facilities with 5 stars are considered much above average quality. The scores are based on the assessment of several critical areas, including Overall Quality, Health Inspection, Quality Measures, Staffing, and RN Staffing. According to CMS’s web site, the purpose of the Five-Star Quality Rating System is to help consumers, their families, and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily and to help identify areas about which the public may want to ask questions. The Five-Star Rating achieved by Broadway House for Continuing Care is confirmation of the organization’s professional commitment to meeting Standards of Excellence in delivering quality care to each resident. In healthcare, quality is measured based on performance and the systematic and continuous process of quality improvement. The Broadway House workforce has displayed a strong level of commitment to excellence and will continue to assess and evaluate key quality measures to maintain the highest level of care and service for our residents.
We are also happy to announce that Broadway House for Continuing Care is now contracted with United Healthcare Community Plan Custodial Services.
