Hospital for Special Care

The Charles H. Kaman Foundation Neuromuscular Center at Hospital for Special Care (HSC) is pleased to welcome accomplished neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist Sadaf Khorasani, M.D. to the center’s multidisciplinary team. Dr. Khorasani will significantly expand the capacity of the center’s Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders clinic.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Khorasani to our neuromuscular team,” said Lynn Ricci, President and chief executive officer of HSC. “As we celebrate the center’s 10th anniversary we are poised for exciting advances in patient care. Dr. Khoarasani will help us meet the growing need for integrative approaches to care for Parkinson’s patients and will work closely with Dr. Adam Simmons to advance our efforts to achieve designation as a National Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence.” Funds raised through the Traveler’s Championship each year helps to support the expansion of neuromuscular services. The Maximilian E. and Marion O. Hoffman Foundation also awarded a multiyear grant of $1.2 million to HSC in July to support the continued advancement of Parkinson’s services at HSC.

Sadaf Khorasani completed her medical degree at Maimonides Hospital, New York and St. Georges University, West Indies. She completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University and neurology residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center and Hartford Hospital. She holds specialty certifications from both the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology and American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
